I have been a regular visitor to the Powell Street Festival here in the city. It's an celebration of Japanese Canadian arts, culture and heritage. The program is full of life and colours and is hosted in the middle of the summer.
You can find dance, music, film and video, visual arts and Japanese food. One of the most fascinating presentations at the festival is martial arts demo.
